Christopher Thurston Clinical Instructor Dr. Christopher Thurston received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Florida in 2012 after completing his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida. His later achievements include being recognized as a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2015 and a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) in 2016. In 2019, he became a Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Therapist (COMT) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). In 2024, Chris was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award by the FCCE. He considers himself a lifelong learner and truly enjoys devoting the time to helping others reach their full potential. He has previous experience as a mentor in both sports and orthopedic residency programs and is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. He has successfully completed Emory and APTA’s Vestibular Rehabilitation: A competency-based course. His abstract was selected for poster presentation at the 2018 AAOMPT conference titled, “The Manubrial Test: A Novel Assessment for Regional Interdependence in Adolescent Overhead Athletes: A Case Series.” He currently works at the University of Miami in the outpatient orthopedic setting treating patients with injuries related to orthopedics, vestibular dysfunction and concussion. As a University of Florida alumni, Dr. Thurston is an avid Gator sports fan. He also enjoys music, the adventures of being a foodie and a good laugh with his family and friends.

Pam Kikillus Clinical Instructor Dr. Pam Kikillus PT, DScPT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT practices in Tacoma, Washington. She received her Masters and Doctoral degrees from the University of Indianapolis. She completed her Fellowship in orthopedic manual therapy in 2007. She is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist and a certified hand therapist. She practices with Olympic Sports and Spine and teaches at Green River College and the University of Puget Sound. She is very involved with the development of the exam for Orthopedic Specialist Certification with ABPTS. Tyrees Marcy Clinical Instructor Tyrees Marcy, PT, DPT, CSCS, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT, LJLCP graduated from California State University Sacramento in 1998 with her BSPT. In 2004, she graduated with her post-graduate certificate in manual therapy from Curtin University in Perth Australia and completed her transitional PT Doctorate from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ in 2010. She is currently working on her Ph.D. at the University Concordia Chicago in Health and Human Performance. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, and a Fellowship Graduate of the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). She is a certified Connect Therapy and Thoracic Ring Approach Practitioner. Tyrees is Faculty for the Olympic Sports and Spine Therapy Orthopedic and Sports Residency as well as the Orthopedic Fellowship programs. Tyrees is also an Item Writer for the Specialization Academy of Content Experts and the Maintenance of Specialist Certification. She serves on the Credentialing Services Committee for the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). She is Adjunct Faculty at Graceland University. Parthasarathy Kumaraswamy Clinical Instructor Parthasarathy Kumaraswamy, PT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT graduated from his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy specializing Orthopedics in 2007. Since graduating from his bachelor program of PT (1998) he worked at various multi-specialty hospitals and as a lecturer in many teaching institutes in India and Malaysia. He migrated to USA in 2012, since then he started working in Skilled Nursing Facilities. In 2018 he changed his career to an out-patient physical therapy at Ingham County Medical Care Facility. In the same year, he became a Certified Manual Physical Therapist and recognized as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He had completed his certification in Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy (COMT) by NAIOMT in 2020. He also became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) in 2021. Currently, he is pursuing his dream of being a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (DScPT) with Andrews University, Michigan. Gail Elliott Clinical Instructor Gail Elliott DScPT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT, received her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 1980. Her Masters in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from University of Indianapolis in 1993. She completed her DSc at Andrews University in 2020. She Received her FAAOMPT in 2016. She is the Director of the Postprofessional Program at Andrews University where she is also an Associate Professor at Andrews teaching in the DPT program. Laurie McLaughlin Faculty & Specialty Course Faculty Laurie McLaughlin, DScPT, FCAMPT, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University and received her Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association with distinction. She was a chief examiner for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association before completing a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy at Andrews University in Michigan. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University. Laurie has specialized in orthopaedic physiotherapy for over 30 years working in multidisciplinary environments as well as in private practice. She develops and teaches continuing education courses nationally and internationally for health professionals on a variety of topics including Spinal Manipulation, Breathing Evaluation and Management, Myofascial Management, Advanced Clinical Reasoning, and a Lumbar Spine Masterclass. Cameron Gomez Clinical Instructor & Faculty-In-Training CAMERON L. GOMEZ PT, DPT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT, Lac. Cameron graduated with honors from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with a DPT 2008. In 2014, Cameron obtained his COMT, and in 2017, Cameron became a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Cameron also went on to obtained a Master of Science in Acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 2018. Cameron founded Cameron Gomez Physical Therapy & Acupuncture, and works on-site with the New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet. His former career as a professional ballet dancer fuels his ongoing passion for helping dancers to achieve and maintain their optimal health and performance levels.
