Dry Needling Level 1, 3-day: Lumbar Spine and Lower Quarter

Description: This is an introductory dry needling course for the muscles of the lumbar spine and

lower quarter. This course is based on the foundational knowledge of anatomy, neurology,

biomechanics and pathology in the use and treatment of dry needling. Safety and clinical

application are prioritized with ample lab time to build your skills to prepare you safe

application in the clinic. Topics such as electrical stimulation, dosage, acute and chronic pain as

well as post treatment care will also be discussed.

This 3-day course will also introduce you to the concepts from the Aspire COMT coursework to

apply musculoskeletal assessment, examination, and clinical reasoning to differentially

diagnose and prepare you to incorporate dry needling in the clinical setting. Please see the

No prior course work is required but you are responsible for knowing your state’s

requirements.

3-day tract: 27 hours in person

PARKING:

On Friday only: while there is ample parking, please refrain from taking the parking spots closest to the building to reserve those for patient use.

CONFERENCE ROOM LOCATION:

There are 2 buildings in the Parkway Professional Center complex. The conference room is located in the LOWER LEVEL of building 13 (the building to the right as you are facing the front). As you walk into the lobby, there will be stairs or an elevator you can take to the lower level. There is a sign as you walk in indicating the conference room is on the lower level, but it does not have a suite number. You will see the conference room entrance to the left as you exit the elevators.
