Course Details
Imagine if you understood the basic biomechanical essentials of how the human body works. And imagine if you could easily assess those biomechanical essentials. You might quickly get to the root cause of so many patients’ chronic pain. Using the concept of neuromusculoskeletal ‘functional units’ within the body, you will better understand the incredible pathomechanical interconnections that initiate and maintain chronic musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.
Focusing on functional anatomy, rather than anatomical form, the ‘Ultimate Master Clinician’ courses will enable the orthopedic manual therapist to logically assess for pathomechanical malfunctions throughout the entire body. Then, taking into consideration the patient’s lifestyle and priorities, a plan of treatment can be devised to bring the patient’s neuromusculoskeletal system towards optimal efficiency. This course focuses on the three major functional units of the lower half i.e., the Psoas Pyramid, the Thoracic Latexion ‘Spring’ and the Human Bicameral Foot.
This course focuses on the three major functional units of the upper half i.e., the Head Unit, the Functional Shoulder Girdle and the Functional Hand. The course involves a detailed analysis of the neurological, neuromuscular, and neurophysiological adaptation to the unique human vertical posture, both how it is maintained and how it can be compromised, most especially through a chronic, habitual forward head posture. Again, a novel screening assessment is described to efficiently and effectively assess the interrelationships between the major functional units of the upper quadrants.
Master Class Part 2, The Upper Half, concludes with case study reviews of combined biomechanical dysfunctions involving both upper and lower halves of the body.
