Bambi S. Penney

Bambi S. Penney, PT, DScPT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT graduated from the physical therapy program at Columbia University, NYC in 1979 and received a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Andrews University in 2012. She was recognized as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Specialists in 2008, with renewal in 2018. Bambi continued her education through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, NAIOMT, graduating from their Clinical Fellowship Program in 2013 and was accepted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, FAAOMPT, in the same year. She previously served as a Clinical Fellowship Instructor for NAIOMT and is now a member of Aspire OMT, available for resident and fellowship students for post professional supervised training onsite. Bambi is able to travel to student’s location and/or collaborate virtually.
Bambi provides expertise in outpatient orthopedic care for all ages with IvyRehab, Geneva, IL and with Carla Thomas Physical Therapy, LLC clinic in St. Charles, IL, PRN.
Bambi is certified in Functional Dry Needling through Kinetacore and ASTYM via Performance Dynamics. Bambi also provides expertise in vestibular/vertigo rehabilitation. She utilizes a variety of treatment interventions including functional manual therapy to complement her OMPT training. Patient advocacy and collaboration with healthcare professionals are valued by Bambi.
As a lifelong learner, fresh ideas and interactive exchanges are welcome. Professional organization involvement includes activities with the Illinois Physical Therapy Association, IPTA/APTA and American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, AAOMPT. She also coordinates and provides tutoring for US Citizenship through her church affiliation in conjunction with World Relief. Bambi enthusiastically supports Chicago sports teams, enjoying outdoor activities, jogging and hiking. She has previous experience with hockey, water skiing, skydiving, softball and soccer. Her precious family provides vitality, centering and great enjoyment.
